24 Apr EAvision Australia Update

J100, Welcome to Australia
Our first batch of EAvision J100's has arrived in Australia and is currently undergoing training and testing for our customers and team. While we have a few years of EAVision experience under our belt, the J100 has a number of new features for us to explore. It's strengths are clearly in the area of Obstacle avoidance and intelligent flight planning. We have used a combination of new and old techniques to put it through its paces on some of our test fields. Spraying capability comes next with its full range of 10 - 600 microns, providing the capability to cover all spraying requirements. EAvision has always had a high level of build quality, and this J100 continues to build on that reputation.
The J100’s ability to scan and process high-res maps is a new feature for EAvision. We feel that there is work to be done in this area.
While it could be handy to be able to knock out a quick maps for your smaller fields we suggest that this is not meant to be a replacement for dedicated mapping drones backed up with descent software. Especially if you are looking to build custom treatment plans for targeted applications.
Mapping is always a major consideration for drone operators who tend to be in obstacle-rich environments. The need to map obstacles is often required to protect the operation and the drone. The J100's multi-sensor array of Lidar units and Radar provides a much better solution to both seeing the obstacle and avoiding it. We have tested operations with obstacles identified in the map and just letting the drone manage them. In both cases, the J100 efficiently worked around the obstacle. Could this be the end of having to find all of those trees and map them out?
Flight Testing
We are happy to work with Gary and his team at Wicked Copters. If you are trying to get approvals done or any regulatory item that needs CASA, then you will know the delays that can be involved. Gary and our Sub-Distributor in Melbourne managed to perform a small miracle (along with some advanced planning) to get a flight test performed just before Easter. There is a bit more paperwork to be issued, and within the next 2 weeks, Wicked will be the first CASA-approved delegate for the issuing of RePLs for the EAvision J100. If you are new to the Drone Agriculture space Wicked can combine all of the steps that are required for a bundled price.

EAvision J100 First Flight in the Victorian countryside. Our other customers in Queensland have also conducted training and testing recently. Despite some initial shipping delays our customers and operators are now getting the most out of their new machines. At EAvision Australia, we pride ourselves on providing personal service, and we are only a phone call away. In addition to personalised service as the Distributor, we handle all the support you need to keep operating, whether it be warranty claims, spares, Australian support knowledge base or just for tips and suggestions on how to get the most out of your purchase, we can help. Our first batch of drones sold out prior to the shipment landing on the dock. We are expecting the next shipment towards the end of May. If you want to secure one of these drones for your operation get in touch with us soon.
